Shock as National Police Service Commission chair candidate collapses, dies before interview

Jilo was among four candidates shortlisted for the interview by the selection panel for NPSC nominees.
A candidate seeking to become the chairman of the National Police Service Commission (NPSC) collapsed and died just moments before his scheduled interview in Nairobi.
Komora Mubadi Jilo was waiting for his turn when he suddenly collapsed at the Public Service Commission (PSC) offices along Harambee Avenue, officials said.

Jilo was among four candidates shortlisted for the interview by the selection panel for NPSC nominees.
The tragic incident happened on Tuesday before he could face the panel, leaving officials at the venue in shock.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending a postmortem to establish the exact cause of his sudden death.
Candidates for the member position included former police spokesperson Eric Kiraithe, ex-PS Colleta Suda, former Nairobi traffic boss Michael Barasa, former Bomet police commander Esther Seroney, ex-NYS Director-General Matilda Sakwa, and National Police Service Director of Gender and Children Affairs Jostice Barmao.
The others included Patrick Wakaba, Rose Mumbua, Areba Omwoyo, Isaac Ole Shaasha, Peris Muthoni and Adan Abdullahi.
